Quick and Easy BBQ Pulled Chicken

I realized I haven't posted a recipe to here forever! So this is what I made for dinner tonight.  This is one of my girls plates, I thought it matched the colors of the meal.

This is super duper easy and best of all you make it in the crock pot so you just drop it in and don't worry about it all day.  If you are like me and want easy cleanup use a Reynold's Crock Pot Bag and you don't have to scrub either!

Here is what you need:

  • Package of boneless skinless chicken breast (I use the pound and whatever size, you can you more or less)
  • BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1-2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • any seasonings you like(garlic, onion, pepper, salt, whatever to taste)
So all you need to do is put the chicken in the crock pot.  Pour the water over the chicken.  Put apple cider vinegar in.  Season as you like.  Top with BBQ sauce to liking (you can add more when it is done if you'd like).  Put the lid on and you are done! You can cook it on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-4.

When it is done cooking, lift the lid and shred it with a fork or other tool you might have.  Like stated before you can top with BBQ sauce if you'd like.

This can be served on a bun or just right on the plate.  I do it both ways depending on my mood.

Note: You can make this recipe into Taco Shredded Chicken also.  Don't add the BBQ sauce or apple cider vinegar.  Use 1 package of taco seasoning. You have awesome shredded chicken tacos!

Enjoy!!!
