Explore Tryon is celebrating the  start of 2015 with a unique promotional giveaway.  Downtown Tryon retailers and restaurants were very generous this year with donations of scarves, pottery, gift certificates, candles, jams & jellies, and jewelry!

Perfectly located as a base for all that Western NC has to offer, the Village of Tryon is close to Asheville, the Biltmore Estate & the Blue Ridge Parkway.  I've passed the sign for Tryon numerous times on my way to Charlotte, but had no idea such a charming jewel was just a few miles down the road.

Tryon has two quaint B&Bs – the award-winning Pine Crest Inn and the Melrose Inn.  With the recent 2014 opening of the Tryon International Equestrian Center and Resort, Tryon continues to offer an eclectic mix of music, art and entertainment.  Tryon remains the friendliest town in the south.

  1. What I found most interesting at Visit Explore Tryon was the "Hidden Gem". I like the way you highlight a spot that you have recently found that one wouldn't normally know about and the way you highlight it makes me want to go there for sure.

I found out that Tyron is located in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. "Tryon is known for its wonderful people, outdoor activities, mild climate, small town shops and great restaurants". My husband and I have been trying to find a place to move to next...could this be the place?! :) Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us. If it hadn't been for you I might have never have found out about it.

  3. Hello! I was so close to Tryon this past Summer. We're planning to stay nearby again next Summer so, we'll have to check it out! I learned that they have an Event Calendar that is quite full and that it's not far from the Biltmore Estate. Fun! Thank-you for this generous chance!
