Did You Gain Weight Breastfeeding?

Okay so who else heard there whole life if you breastfeed you will lose the weight from the baby?  I know I have.  Now I'm the first one to admit I wasn't the smallest to begin with and I didn't really gain much weight while I was pregnant.

I actually weighed less walking out of the hospital after my c-sections with both girls.  I know that is not normal.  I guess it is the benefit of being gestational diabetic and a bigger girl to begin with.  I had to watch everything I ate so that my blood sugar didn't spike and  I never really had high numbers, that being said I was extremely careful.

So back to the topic of breastfeeding.  I have breastfed both of my girls, Kaylee until she was 18 months and Aby well she is 20 months and still won't give it up.  With Kaylee I gained 20 pounds while I was breastfeeding.  I went on Weight Watchers and lost 30 between the time of her being 15 months and when she stopped.

I got pregnant with Aby the next month.  With Aby I have gained 25 pounds.  I have been going to the gym everyday for the last 5 months.  I'm not losing, I'm gaining!  It is so horrible.  I feel like I'm in better shape then I have been in years, wish it looked like it.

I asked my doctor about it and she said some do gain because their bodies actually hold the weight because of the breastfeeding.  I'm one of the cursed with that.  Am I the only one???
