Kitchen Essentials Nut Milk Bag Review

I have always loved Almond milk.  It is such a great alternative to cows milk.  When I had the opportunity to review Kitchen Essentials Nut Milk Bag I was ready to try to make my own.

As I just stated I have never made Almond milk before.  Right away I started looking for recipes.  I was surprised how easy it would be to make it with this bag!

Recipe for Almond Milk:

2 cup raw almonds
5 cups water
optional sweetener or flavorings

This is so so easy to make.  Put the 2 cups of almonds in a container big enough to cover with all the water.  I used a tight lidded container.  Put it in the refrigerator overnight.

After it soaked overnight I put the soaked almonds in the blender,keep the liquid!  I blend the almonds by themselves first just to break them up and then I add the liquid.  Blend until thickened and foamy.  This can take a while.  I was about 4-5 minutes.

Have you bag ready in a bowl to pour the mixture into.




Pour the mixture into the Nut Milk Bag to sift the milk from the almonds.  I tightened the string at the top.  You squeeze the milk from the blended almonds.  It is really easy.  You can either discard the almonds or you can save it for recipes, which I did.

I saved mine to make almond paste.  Multipurpose as much as you can is my motto.


I was very impressed with how easy it was to clean the Kitchen Essentials Nut Bag.  I will definitely be using the nut bag a lot.  My husband is lactose intolerant.  He had never had almond milk until I made it with the Kitchen Essentials Nut Milk Bag and he loved it.
