The Olive Tree By Elsa Marston is on my Holiday Gift Guide 2014.
I was so happy when I was asked to review The Olive Tree by Elsa Marston. My girls love books and will chose a book over a toy any day. I especially like the fact that The Olive Tree has such an awesome message.
The Olive Tree is illustrated by Claire Ewart. These paintings are so beautiful and really makes this book even more special.
The Olive Tree is for children 5 and up. I can tell you that my 2 year old loves it just as much as my oldest though. The Olive Tree is a hardcover 32 page book.
The message is so great to me. It is an example of two children learning to share and work together by looking past their differences. All friendships rely on compassion and understanding. If this was taught more often to our youngsters the world would be a much better place. We are all different but our differences make us special. These differences can bring things to your life you would never experience without them.

I would highly recommend the Olive Tree. It is the perfect book for young children to learn about differences and how through differences we can still work together.
